Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

Heat wave coming for Kansas. For the next 9 days temps will be 96 to 100! Any rain in site will veer to the East of us. Seems our World is trying to boil to a point of oblivion! I'm waiting for the cracks in the earth to start! So many countries experiencing these high temps for days/weeks on end. Except for going to work I'm trying to stay home during this time. My old car is just as fragile as me!

mary, if it gets too hot don't go in. nobody is shopping in that heat. be careful. think of your health first. my friend in san antonio had 107. she finally got rain and pea sized hail after weeks of dry. her low is 100.  i hope you do get rain soon. hugs.

It has been the upper '90s in my area but it's a dry heat. I know humidity plus heat is really tough to deal with (I'm originally from NY). Hang in there and continue taking care of yourself!

I'm so mad! I ordered a dress from Fresh Produce and I just saw that they cancelled my order, stating that my item is out of stock. I was refunded.

Why show the item in stock when it isn't? It was a pretty pink Summer dress. Very disappointed.

i'm sorry. it sounds like they sell food?  will they get more dresses in stock later? can you find a similar one on amazon?

Psych...a possible reason this happened was because the seller also has another shop somewhere and they sell the same inventory as on here. If another online selling venue does not have the capability to connect with E on sales, etc., then it messes with the overall inventory on both sites. 

Maybe the dress was sold on their other site and she/he just hasn't updated their E site. A distinct possibility really. Hope this helps. Blessings girl.

update, toe. night 41. i lost the nail last night. toe hurts. i know in theory it grows back but i am in shock.

Toe will get stronger each day Sill. Like the nail...hang tough girl...the best is yet to come. Just sorry it hurts  so much during the healing time. Blessings.

mary, i finally got the last remaining nano dot of blood off of it today, 6 weeks. the flesh is all pink and it all looks clean. i'm keeping it covered in lavender cream which has some type of alcohol in it. i am able to walk. last night i couldn't. i think all the microscopic bits of micro fibre from the sock i was wearing are out and off of it finally. i was desperately sad yesterday, like mourning level sad. as if the toe was grieving the loss.  i think it will be ok.

i'm testing make offer from a seller i've bought from before. she listed for 9.95. i offered 7. this isn't ebay so i did not offer 7.01, lol.  now i see how this works. i can't buy anything until tuesday so i hope make offer gives me a couple of days.

psych, i copy pasted that from one of the many complaining threads. apparently the man who created etsy posted on twitter his opinion. he suggested hints that something might be coming. i hope he follows through. he really screwed up selling it.

Just a quick post here. A new market place has opened up. It's all handmade and online tutorials. It's called MakerPlace. It is run by Michael's Craft stores. I got an invite and decided to join. It officially opens August 1st. They are taking applications and I'm in the process of filling out all the necessary stuff. So far, what I don't like about it is that it does NOT connect back to E. pretty sure amazon handmade does not link back either. they are not supposed to. you don't expect wal-barf to put in a link to tarpit's deals, do you? lol.

in this case this new site already has name brand recognition. i wish it well and all the sellers posting there. good luck. i think it's by invite. you have to be vetted, which is good.

Well, another of my favorite Etsy shops has closed down. So disappointed. Probably 1/3 of the shops I purchased from over the past 15 years are gone. I only got to purchase from her once, very sad.
