It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular. It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.
You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.
Thoughts?
that is neat. :)
To the creators of the television adverts for the shingles vaccine, I say this:
"YOU SUCK!"
Oh it's you plum plum, you've changed your profile pic, I didn't recognise you. You look cute ^^
Plum ~ Why? Explain yourself as to whether you're for or against the vaccine OR is it just the ad that you don't like?
Why do they suck? Is it gross?
Not eligible for the shingles vaccine / because of restrictions / but if I were able …. would be first in line to get one !!!
Shingles can be nasty business !!!! I think I would opt for the vaccine instead ….. only because folks around me have suffered from shingles ….. I don't want to have it ! So /nothing scientific ! Just a whimpy " I don't want to deal with it " venue ! I could be totally wrong !!!!
But will take my " wrong" self on a line to get a vaccine if I ever can , until I hear other wise :):):)
The Old Farmers Almanac, the Farmers Almanac and Acuweather have three different versions about this coming winter projection...
I take the version with 30F (-1 C) as the coolest temperature during the 2019 - 2020 winter.
Yikes. That's a bit cold. I grew up in a cold area, without heat, but I live where it's hot now so it would be hard for me to get used to 30F.
30F as the lowest sounds pretty good to me Ana! -10 I could live without indefinitely...
i'm already too cold now!
Have heard overall, that this year will be a " bad winter " season ….. how folks come to that conclusion is a mystery to me …. but they have been correct in the past :) !!!
I prefer the cold over the heat. And I live in the desert. The Universe really likes to mess with me.
haha. I clicked on the wrong bookmark, thinking it was that other thread I created and saw a post and got excited.
I love the times of year when I can have the windows open at night. This morning it was just a bit too nippy but yet I like that. I just had to shut the windows and crawl back into bed and snuggle a bit.
Darcy ~ stay warm. So far it has been a roller coaster weather report for us here in Texas! One day in the high 90s and today in the the 50s. It is what it is!
Centuries ago, I was engaged with a Texan cowboy. He always told me about how hot was the weather down there. According with his version, it was extremely hot during the summer and the opposite during the winter. Nowadays, when I watch the weather report in the TV news,
I see the winter is worst in Yankeeland, where I always have lived.
@SwissZahlerArt Yeah there's no way Texas is cold compared to the north. Since I now live in the desert, what I think people who complain about it being cold in the south mean, is that during the day it's warm but then dips, and the temperature change is hard for the body to deal with. When I lived in WI it was cold both during the day and night so the body didn't have to adjust so much. I told my dad that I needed my leather coat and he said it didn't get cold in the desert. Um.... He just wanted to give it to a woman to impress her. I was so cold on January mornings waiting for the bus without a coat, then it would be in the 70's during the day and I'd be hot walking to the bus stop to go home.
Smiling and laughing ~ "THE BRAG REPORT " ~ Texas is so big that it can be freezing and snowing up in the Panhandle and at the same time, be in the high 90s down in Brownsville. The weather can completely change across the state within hours....you never know what to expect.
The ex fiancé was from the north side almost touching Oklahoma. We remained pen pals until he died. Every letter from each other had a weather report. Once in a while, I included the local newspaper weather week report.
Many times, I wonder how things happened. I was going to merry him, I had one foot on Texas already and all of the sudden, my actual husband crossed in my life. That was the end of the engagement to the south. We married in a month and here we are some decades later, still married...
46 f here and i am not happy. they still have not replaced our drafty door.
The temperature has been nice here (around 80F and sunny), but the air quality sucks, thanks to the awful fires.
Went to work yesterday. The office was a smoky mess, 75% of the staff called out, including all the doctors, and everyone left was running around with gauze masks. The mask didn't do much for me, with my asthma. I lasted 60 minutes before the burning eyes and shortness of breath set in and I called it quits for the day.
Why did somebody like this???
I theorize someone likes things to help the thread. I've had likes when I posted pretty mundane things.
White meat chicken tastes like sad.
