Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

Birds around my area are starting to 'flock' and head South--some leave early August. All of a sudden you notice they are gone.

yes, this time of year is a great time for bird watching!  There are so many visiting birds that come at this time.

I do not do it because the butter is too hard and the bread is too soft and if I try to put the one on the other it will tear. And because then I would have to buy cheese that doesn't come in sticks.

Which kind of store bought cookie (aka. biscuit) is your favourite at the moment?

That is a tough choice.  I like the Keebler grasshoppers because the are just like the Girl Scout thin mints.  I like lemon cookies, fig newtons, devil's food cookies and always chocolate chip cookies too.

I'm not much into cookies either, cakes, biscuits, cookies, chocolates... basically I'm not much a snack person, habit =]

@MilaSmilasDogClothes  - I seem to like more of the harder, non-sweet cookies that go nicely with a cup of coffee, like the rich tea biscuits or sociables or something like that, as well as the hard, hard, oatmeal cookies and ginger snaps.

I like Animal Crackers, not Barnum's, they've been ruined now. I found a new brand at my local grocery store, I can't recall the name at the moment, but they are like the old Barnum crackers: light, flat and a bit crunchy with a delicate vanilla flavor. The new Barnum ones are browned, puffy, and crunchy like dog biscuits! 

Another favorite of mine are dark chocolate wheatmeal digestives. I can only get them at a small store near me that sells imported British food. I discovered them 40 years ago during my trip to the U.K. and could eat 1/2 a package in one sitting if I didn't control myself!

@ Pigeon …. yes ….that's it !   All I can manage at the moment :)  

On the up side / I have next week off from the day job !  I should have been visiting a friend in Texas, but her plans changed , and we couldn't meet this week .  I decided to keep my vacation days off, and maybe accomplish something else !  

Tomorrow is my first official " day off " …. so may sleep in a bit / and maybe have an extra cup of coffee before I decide what to do next !!!
