It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular. It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.
You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.
Thoughts?
Same to you Gerri!
Good grief that is the cutest thing Sil!! Love the little pumpkin with removable top. Oh, and the lobster in the little one's hand! And those absolutely adorable dresses on the girls.
You are remarkable in that you can take an image in your mind and recreate it for all to see. Happy Turkey Day my friend and thanks for sharing.
Adorable @vlmkpyae They have lovely hair, their dresses and tablecloth are all so neat.
title is thanksgiving on the bayou. setting is a parish in louisiana in 1963.
mary, art, i did that years ago. shadow rendered me the tile floor. back when we had a printer he printed me copies so i actually have them. the one in this pic is the rendered room. i made the pumpkin, and rest of foods, out of play-doh. i used the spoon kitty has to carve it hollow.
but i saved about 97 percent of the foods, flowers, and the half inch snowmen, all preserved with glue. sigh.
SO sweet SIl! The amount of tiny detail is amazing.
@vlmkpyae The floor is beautiful, very lovely purple colour.
That's such a sweet scene! I admire your patience. It takes everything in me to take pics for my own shop, lol!
Sil, that just bowls me over - fantastic work! You indicated that you lost parts of the diorama. That's so sad 'cause this is a remembrance for all time for you and S. you did an excellent job - Bravo.
thanks, margaret. out of the foods in that one i only lost the grapes. it was bits of others that i lost parts of.
i saved everything i could when i discovered transparent glue. hopefully everything is still fine, haven't checked in a while.
We used to have a day before Thanksgiving party with the old friends from High School. The 99% are in Heaven now. Now, Zoom with the very few survivors, listen to Bill Halley and his Comets, Big Bopper and sing Chantilly Lace because we can not dance it with the old friends. To became so old is a blessing and a curse at the same time...
Ain't it the truth Swiss. Blessings.
Those parties sound like they were lots of fun. And your last line is so true. I feel the same.
hugs, ana. glad there is technology.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Every Thanksgiving I go to my Mother-in'-Law's on the holiday and then the following day, hubs and I have our own Thanksgiving, just the two of us. Every year a bake an apple pie too, hubs favorite. The last apple pie I made disappeared very quickly, I suspect this one will do the same.
i have a request. my friend, laura, who i've known online almost 20 years, is the owner of overtherainbow, the real life quilt shop up near seattle. her granddaughter, who helps in the shop and with the farm animals, turns 9 on dec. 10. because of covid she can't have any kind of party. so laura has asked if people would be so kind as to send mia a birthday card so she gets cards from all over to open. nothing fancy, just a card. in all this time this has only ever been her second request. her first was when her daughter had a stroke years ago, we all sent a quilted heart that got put together as a quilt for vanessa in the hospital. if anybody wants to send mia a little birthday card please convo me. convo, the pm system is not working. convos i will get in my email box, pms i won't. thank you all!
Aww- count me in! Can you post the address here? Or just email it to me please. I hope she gets a bunch of them. What a great idea! @vlmkpyae
here is laura's message.

9th Dec ... time is tight, post probably won't get there in time = |
Who cares about lateness when she'll get something in the mail from the UK! That would have thrilled me at 9. You will make her day (whichever day it arrives). @Artbesico
@ElizabethRosenArt I love to spoil kids so hopefully my little prezzie will make her day and her lil bro's =]
