Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

There were three more new illness in our office yesterday.  Out of 14 people, only myself and two other people haven't been sick this year.  A lot of people have gotten both the norovirus and some sort of upper respiratory infection.  It's been terrible and I have been sanitizing the front office a few times each day to help cut down on the germs.

Hubs and I have been dealing with Upper Respiratory Infections for over a week now. The symptoms are not severe (congestion, postnasal drip, sinus pain and pressure) but annoying and uncomfortable. We've both been eating cold medicine like candy, which sucks too because it puts you in a fog. Can't wait for this to be over. Feels like it's never-ending.

no eta on insurance inspection still. so much for beginning of february. but the last batch of giveaway got taken by the neighbor yesterday, to oregon. anything sold in that thrift store will go to animal rescue. so that part is good. glad to have excess stuff out of here. it's still cold. i'm tired of it. each year i hate cold more.

so, atmospheric river and over 200 sewer flies invaded and we did not even get all of them. no break predicted until tuesday. it is hellacious here right now. high winds forecast on top of it.

We're almost to March.  I'm looking forward to the lower heat bills and longer daylight hours.  It was 30 degrees this morning so I only had to let my car warm up a few minutes to make sure the windshield wouldn't fog up.  Progress, lol.

With all of the political nonsense, I'm glad to take a win any way I can, even if it's only looking forward to spring weather.

spring would help, yes. i had to pad out to get the mail in almost cat 1 winds yesterday but i did not want the box flooding and mail damaged. good thing i could sprint back inside before it knocked me over.

i am too stunned and shocked to breathe much in regards to the news. huge frowny.  ready to hang a flag upside down like the big park did.

we think we got rid of the last of those demon flies. it was so bad we could not make food until some time yesterday. hopefully no more huge storms!

warm weather would help a lot of things. good luck. stay safe. mask up out there! hang in there. we are all in this darkness together, lighting candles to break through to the light.

California get's such strange weather.  I hope the wind has calmed down.  Windy days make me nervous, I worry about trees and power lines coming down and causing problems or damage.

I have to limit how much news I watch each day, otherwise I would be too angry at the stupid orange marshmallow man and his crew of sexual predators, racists, misogynists, and criminals  to be able to sleep at night. 

I'm glad you are finally rid of they flys.

joanns, the fabric store mary, sewnsewsister, works in is going under. she survived chemo. she has almost no other income as a window, retired hospice nurse. she needs a miracle, now, just to survive. 19 k employees are losing their jobs. mary was one of the first to quilt masks for the hospitals during covid.

Oh no, I hope Mary is able to find another job that she likes as much as she seemed to enjoy working at Joanne's.

I was surprised they announced the closing of the remaining stores so soon.  I figured they had a few more years before the need to evaluate whether or not to close more stores.

I am ready to install a new computer but in the process, I need to retrieve as many of my passwords as possible. I haven't signed out of Etsy in years and my question is how do I find and change my password? I can't find a link anywhere. Please help! I don't want to be locked out of this place forever!

You may have to ask Etsy about this--it looks like you need your password in order to change your password!

she can't ask on the bugs forum because she, just as i don't, does not have a shop and can't post on it. only you shop owners can.

That's what I was afraid of. How do I "ask Etsy" about this? I've read that trying to communicate with them is terrible.
