Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

the great and powerful ets is undercutting. ; (  they now have tossed up a warning this might not arrive by christmas, order a gift card blurb on every single listing i've checked at random. even ones for digital downloads! not that i buy those but i was curious... geesh. sigh.

Went to post office this morning. Talked with a postal friend there while waiting in line. Get this...the news has been reporting about possible delays, etc.. She said as of last week that the post office had to call in semi trucks (not usps trucks) to help hold all the packages. The back up is worse than what the news has been reporting. A Priority mail could take not just the norm 3 days but up to 7 days! She said the PR person for post office of course is gonna paint a better picture than it actually is. They want their cut of the millions (billions?) available during this season.

I stopped all my sales in shop and dropped my spending on E Ads down to $1 to help discourage buyers. Hate having to discourage sales but I don't want to chance a bad review from a buyer cause something didn't get there by Christmas. Just have to suck it up, put my big girl panties on and deal with a tighter budget for next few weeks.

mary, a seller in mi. told me there are trucks lined up for blocks around her post office. the mail can't even be accepted, it will just sit there! drivers waiting hours in queue just to drop off or pick up loads.

christmas might happen by february at this rate!

HI !  Have seen some delays as well !!!   and yes / for a while now, priority mail has not gotten anywhere faster than first class.  At the moment, I don't even offer it anymore ... will just do an upgrade for a few cents if I get a discount when I print my labels.

At the moment / a package that has been stuck for days is supposedly out for delivery !  Another was sent priority to Texas on 12/8 .... and appears to still be stuck in NJ !!! 

Have found that folks understand overall ... so, not worrying about it.  I also have deliberately posted a " 3 - 5 business day" delivery potential ....  usually ship within 24 - 48 hours / but I want the wiggle room for myself !   It seems to work ...

Snowstorm starting here !!! .... about an hour ago !.... possible 12" of snow or more / but I don't care ! ....  I don't have to be back at the " day job" until Monday .  Happy Dance !!!  

Have food, milk, adult beverages, candles in case we lose power , and a super comfy comforter if we lose heat ..... It's all good !!!

I'm really curious to see how much really falls. We haven't had much snow here lately. I have everything I need but, right now, I'm trying to find a reason to go outside. Already a few inches on the ground and it's so pretty. I love it when it's like this -- before the shoveling and clean-up. Reminds me of being a kid. I'm doing a happy dance too!

Not really.  We traditionally get snow in December but we haven't gotten much in recent years. This was the largest snowstorm we've had in the NYC area since 2016.

Correction / I shipped my package to Texas 12/7 ......   MANY days / and still stuck in NJ !!!  

I did happen to send Priority / at least the customer will understand at a deeper level that I tried.
