Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

Now Autumn is upon us and the 'fashion' trend starts again----women take a king size blanket/scarf and wind it several times around the neck area, they can't see their feet or even hands at sides! How does a seatbelt fit over this mess? Who came up with this trend? End it soon, please.

IKR?? those infinity scarfs are waaaay too long and bulky.

And the other regular ones that are almost 10 ft long.

Fires in CA- Well thought we were done with the horrible fires. Nope. Air is thick like fog again. Unhealthy air.

CA is instituting a Flex alert ( in my area anyway) asking people today to try not to use electrical appliances etc between 3-10 pm.

Our heart goes out to those who may have to , or already have, evacuated .

And thank you to our courageous firefighters. We love you.

lion, is is really awful up here too. my eyes started running around 9pm last night. i went to bed at 4am and they were still running at 10am. it is all up here. no update from my old bf on if he evacuated.

i want to post a thank you for steve baxman. for 46 he has been volunteer fire chief up the river. onsunday night he called 6 other commands, at home, and they worked together overnight to prevent an inferno that would have been like the glass fire! he is a hero. and in the 80's he helped rescue feral cats if asked. 

last i had read glass fire is 5 percent contained. slater/devils is 48/20. the fact there is no big death toll is nothing short of a miracle.

we need rain. or at least fog. they need cooler temps to fight these blazes.

Normally I would think it was just another ploy for Trump to get attention. But he cancelled a fund raiser this weekend. He wouldn't purposely pass up an opportunity for mass attention. So...I have to believe he and Melania do have the virus. And I just bet you she is pi**ed! She has never struck me as the loving devoted wife of a President. I mean you can count on one hand how many times they've even held hands in public for crying out loud. The look on her face is one of tolerance. Could be wrong but that's the impression I have always gotten.

All opinions aside I truly do hope they will both continue having only mild symptoms and have a full recovery.

We're on the same page with Melania. I just told a friend of mine I wouldn't be surprised if she filed for a divorce the day after he leaves office.
