Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

Thoughts?

question. if a buyer and seller mutally agree to cancel before the seller ships does this hurt the seller's ratings? my seller could not locate the item due to ship by today. i suggested she cancel and let me know if she ever does find it. she agreed. but then i felt bad. will that hurt her stars or something? anybody can misplace something. i don't want her to get dinged for it. refund letter said buyer and seller agreed to cancel. is she going to be ok?

Wouldn't it only be a problem for her if you'd left  a bad review or official complaint?

I don't think that something resolved amicably between you would have a negative impact

Sill, even though both agreed to cancel the sale the Seller would still have to issue a refund. It's doing a refund that can be held against a shop owner. I don't know how many a Seller is allowed before it affects their rating. Sorry, that's all I know about this not having a lot of experience with it. It sounds like you were more than understanding about the situation. Maybe another Seller here might have more info..

No worries / there won't be a negative impact / especially if there was a mutual agreement to cancel …..  it happens !!!  I lost an item last year and couldn't ship it !!!   

Even if there's an issue ////  nothing you can do about it !  It 's lost !

thanks. she is sure it is somewhere. my guess is she may have sold it on ebay years ago and forgotten to update the listings here. i can't tell you how many book sellers list on like 5 or 6 sites and forget where they sold. after 3 cancellations on amazon i decided not to ever buy a book unless the seller was holding it in their hands. this was not a book, it was a cup. she said it had no crazing when i asked so i took that to mean she was holding it. what it meant was if it had crazing she would have noted it or not listed it, apparently. i just feel bad for a seller who misplaces their inventory. i wonder how often that happens. makes me grateful i don't sell. but i feel for sellers.

Sill, I do mutual cancellations a couple of times per month for various reasons.  It's never affected my sales or my rank in search.

I saw the yellow birds today.

The little goldfinches come to visit me each year.  There is a tree in my backyard that they like to eat from.  

In September, the little yellow warblers will come to visit me.  They like the same tree as the goldfinches.

I just had what sounded like some kind of bird turf war going on a few minutes ago with lots of cackling, clicking  squawking and thumping around on the roof.

I've never heard them that loud and angry before.....

What's going on?!!!

The magpies in my area have a lot of fights with the blue jays and it all takes place on my roof.  There was one here the other day.  I thought it might have been raining, but I found out it was many magpies fighting with the blue jays.
