It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular. It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.
You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.
Thoughts?
@Artbesico Yes it's much better, thanks!
Poor Luna. You need more liver and apples.
@pigeonplumtree you spelled custard donuts wrong!
You spelled doughnuts wrong, oh, British one!
on new monitor now.
Yay! It's so nice to have new things that work. I just replaced my printer last week. The old one refused to print red ink anymore despite all my cleaning efforts. That printer was ten years old though. This new one works like a charm. :-)
I'm so behind with reading these posts now.
@vlmkpyae Hope the move went smoothly and your happy in your new home.
@pigeonplumtree Left over money you're welcome to. I just need that small win first. Then again I need to also buy a ticket. : )
I love reading about the small simple things, that make each day special. Makes me think Etsy is not such a bad place after all. For me it's not always about the money. People matter far more.
I am too behind too.
To catch up on the posts, you need to read just the importants ones... like mine. Only my posts count. Yep... mine.
see? Two people agree. I'm the most important. I knew it all along.
@pigeonplumtree I know that song! So happy I found this thread. It's bringing back such happy memories.
Yes, your postings are very important. You now have a part time job, keeping up with this thread. ; ) You're Editor in Chief and can I have a job too please? I'll bring donuts every Friday.
Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the summer, rain or no rain. The lake has flooded the paths now. The swans and signets are hiding on the small island. We have so many Canadian geese and off spring this year, it's hard to count them all. No ducklings, which is odd. Plenty of ducks through.
Okay... I'll take the job, but I'll have to be paid for it.
We have had quite a bit of on and off rain this summer, which is rather exciting for us. Where I live, rain has become a bit of a novelty, though we aren't even near the levels upon which we should be.
I have 4 noisy baby Magpies in my yard. I'm not fond of Magpies, but the babies are cute and they do very cute things. One was playing with some sticks that I use inside my garden for markers and another was pulling at a plastic bag that blew into my yard.
I hate hot weather and I hate being hot. We get lots and lots of sun and when the atmosphere heats up, nothing brings it down. It's like living in an oven. Thankfully, some of the rain and wind has pushed it away. What a treat.
@Former_Member. What part of this vast world do you live in? I am in Kansas. From your description of your hot weather and little rain it reminds me of a few places inside the USA, i.e. Arizona, California maybe Florida?
I totally agree with you on HATING hot weather! I am in total agreement girl. I inherited from my mother to have never-ending hot flashes starting in my mid 30's. I am quite a bit past that age now for sure. It's like being in menopause your whole life! I'm told I will have them until I'm 6 feet under. And when it's hot it brings those hot flashes on with a vengeance! Add the side effect of hot flashes from my heart meds and you can imagine just how strong my dislike of Summer heat is!
Kansas? I thought you were California girl!
It gets hot in Kansas during the summer, I imagine.
I don't think I'm officially experiencing hot flashes yet, but yes. I'm one that gets hot. I'm hot all the time, even in the winter.
@pigeonplumtree @SewNSewSister
I hate hot weather too, with a passion. I'm a lifelong NYC girl and I love my city but not in the summer. The heat seems to rise from the concrete in a thick, nasty wave. Plus it's usually humid. I also thought I was done with hot flashes but apparently not. Like SewNSew said, hot weather brings them right back. I'm not looking forward to the next few months. :-(
Humidity and heat feels like you are hitting an invisible wall.
@pigeonplumtree I am paying you. I'm giving you donuts on a Friday.
Oh fabulous. But you do realise, I refuse to work for minimum wage. I'm so above that.
And I much prefer a lardy cake. Can we have lardy cakes on Friday instead?
@pigeonplumtree you spelled liver and jellied eels wrong!
I woke up this morning with the strongest urge to move to Scotland. No idea why. I played with the idea a few years ago. But this urge was really strong. Wondering if I should just ignore it. All my family from there are gone now. And my kids wouldn't move there.....well....I don't think so. Might ask them.
I've always wanted to go to Scotland. Where in Scotland would you like to live?
That's so weird, my mum was saying the other day that we'd move to scotland if boris johnson becomes prime minister.
She was joking - I think!
It's not bucket, it's bouquet.
our webhost of many years, hostgator, really screwed us today. they are holding our domain hostage, including our email boxes. we are paid up. in fact we paid early even though it means our bank account is unnervingly low. instead of checking to see if we got hacked or if it was their name servers they went and changed the servers which has us unable to receive emails for 24 to 48 hours. and american email providers all expect you to have a stuip cell phone and we don't. so i had to get an email box on a site in europe where they are still civilized and know that not everybody has a toy phone to get stupid text messages with!
i am not online much. they are still ripping apart our building all week. i have become sick. and i cannot get emails including from our bank, let alone amazon, esty, friends, etc.
i have to say don't use hostgator. they used to be good but not anymore. and the company that stole, err, bought them out owns 80 other hosts so they all will stink equally.
i can get convos only on site. i cannot get any email notifications from anyone. all emails to my box are bouncing until these idiots fix this. and they won't even tell us if we were hacked! i told them fix it because i have access to thousands of people online who will not be pleased by what they have done. this was after they stupidluy argued with me over the phone to give them some code from ten years ago i couldn't possibly remember!
they made a support ticket. guess how that works? you have to log into your... email to get it! you know, the one they are holding hostage?
do not go to hostgator. just don't. they have become evil. :(
