I've been on vacay for about 6 weeks.
Just came back tonight & have an order. I'm not up on the" Etsy cancelling orders within hours after order thing" that has been happening. You know what I'm talking about, right?
So i have all my listings as " processing from 3-5 days" .
In the OLDEN days, i would mail the same day or next day. But now with this new thing they are doing, not sure if i should wait a couple days to send so as to avoid them cancelling.
Am I making sense?
Have mercy on me. I'm new to this latest twist!
Thanks .
Hi there! I'll have mercy! :- )
I used to have my pillows listed as '1 to 3' days for processing but I changed them to '3 to 5' days when I got sick with an ear infection back in March. Though I've resumed shipping in less than 3 days, and sometimes ship the same day, I've decided not to change it back yet. That's because I found it gives me extra time if I need it, and it allows me to easily say 'yes' to buyers who need their orders expedited. Plus, I've never had a buyer complain because their order shipped early. I'm trying not to worry too much about the cancellation issue because it doesn't seem to be widespread. Based on the number of shops here, it seems to have happened to a comparative few. It also looks like the threads about it dropped off a couple of weeks ago. And, as I'm sure you know, when something is widespread, there are continuous threads and lots of us complaining. For now, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and selling as usual. So far, none of mine have been cancelled.
@GielDesigns Thanks!
