When I have a burger, I like stuffing it with French fries before I take a bite so I can have a mouthfull of everything in it. I recently found that I like eating ice cream with crisps too. Some people might find this odd but I like it =]
Do you have any food combo that you like, things that you like to put together to eat that others might not usually eat them together?
I put potato chips in the middle of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a little salt and crunch. So good, especially if the chips are extra curled and thicker.
Try it with French fries too ERArt, salty and crunchy too =D Love it
I think it's kinda like fish fingers sandwich but it's potato instead of fish =]
i know better than to ask if any of you are pregnant. ;)
Why? You think it's odd the way that we eat? =D Is it unusual? I' sure there are others who like eating like this, no? If not then try it, you might like it too =]
when people are pregnant they are known to eat odd combos of foods. it was a joke.
I used to eat cheese when I'm having a coffee, think they go together well.
Pretzels + Skittles. Sweet, Salty and Sour!!
@YarnShop4U that's a pretty good suggestion, I might just give that a try =D
I heard that Scandinavians put cheese directly in their coffee.

I don't do cheese in coffee, but I have sometimes put a pinch of lemon zest or a few drops of lemon extract into my coffee, and it's surprisingly good.
@TheNineOfCups Oh interesting idea, I would like to try that but I don't usually have lemons at home and at the moment I'm not drinking coffee, have quit drinking coffee and tea for awhile now, cutting down on sugar, evaporated milk and caffeine.
I admire anyone who has the discipline to cut down on coffee and tea! I have both of those daily, plus some healthy herbal teas. I am very partial to any hot beverage and I rarely drink anything cold except on the hottest days of summer.
A very similar sandwich exists in USA since the 30s. Taste of Pittsburgh: Primanti Brothers famous sandwich | firstcoastnews.com
A food anthropologist told me the fries were serve on a small paper plate, but the establishment ran out of plates. So, the cook put the fries inside the sandwich.
@SwissZahlerArt My kind of sandwich =]
Hi,
I have always loved crisps in a sandwich particularly with cheese. Chip butties are sooo yummy too.
I am called weird because i love to eat baked beans straight from the tin cold and when i was in my teens did occasionally put them in a cheese sandwich. :0
@PosieAndMarmalades I've tried eating baked beans from the tin cold =D I don't mind hot or cold I think, cold baked beans seem meatier texture wise =D
Okay, here's another salty and sweet combo: Fried fish with tartar sauce and waffles with maple syrup. I thought I'd hate it when I first heard it but I was hooked after I tried it. :-)
@GielDesigns Fried fish I like, with tartar sauce I like, waffles I like, maple syrup ok... so I suppose I will probably like this combo =] Potato waffle is even better =]
Peanut butter and Miracle Whip sandwich with a slice of American cheese and a pineapple ring. Its sooooo yummy.
Okay, this is probably the most unusual one I've seen but, like they say, don't knock it 'til you try it. :-D
@MilaSmilasDogClothes Interesting combo, I like pineapple but never had it in a sandwich ^^
@Artbesico you are missing out never having a ham sandwich with a slice of pineapple on it.
My mom dices pineapple into coleslaw too. It's amazing.
@MilaSmilasDogClothes oh oh oh now I remember I did have pineapple in a sandwich, tried this cheese with pineapple spread for sandwiches, it was pretty good =]
I used to love fries or chips on a sandwich or burger. These days, I don't really eat any of those things anymore, but I still remember the joy. They were good combos. (:
Let's see.. I love dill pickles on a grilled cheese, or a good dijon mustard. Usually alongside an aged, nippy cheddar. Garlic butter makes it really nice, too.
Recently I also discovered beet hummus. It's exactly what it sounds like and it's wonderful, especially with a sprinkling of minced, pickled beet on top.
@philosophiacreations Beet hummus and minced pickled beet sound good, Beet hummus colour is gorgeous.
