How to letterpress a design at a reasonable cost!

Hi!
Newish to etsy and brand new to this team! I am interested in making the transition from flat printing my cards to printing using letterpress. I wonder if anyone has suggestions on how to accomplish this in a cost effective way so that I can still sell my work at a reasonable price.
Any thoughts, comments and leads to printers would be much appreciated!

I had a few friends from college who would send there design to the east coast and have plates made. Then they would do the printing on their letterpress or a friends letterpress.
