How do you promote your cards?

I'm brand new to Etsy - selling illustrated greeting cards. I saw that Etsy offers the ability to buy "search ads."

- Do many people pay to do search ads?

- What are some other ways that people promote their shops?

I did the search ads for two weeks and I barely got traffic and never a sale. I'm new too but the advice I got was to set up a blog, and have a Facebook, twitter, and Instagram account. Currently, I'm meeting with local stores and attending fairs and bazaars.

You already have loads of sales so I don't think you need to worry about it.

Thanks for the advice. My sales are only from friends and family who know me personally... I don't have any sales from people finding my shop on Etsy.

On line promoting I use Twitter and Facebook. Post links to your listings but remember to follow other people and share their work and posts.
