Advice for sending a greeting card directly to the recipient rather than the customer

I'm hoping that some of the other greeting card sellers here might be able to offer some advice.

I received a request from a potential customer to have one of my cards sent directly to her recipient rather than shipped to her. I'm more than happy to do so but I'm wondering how I should handle the shipping? Do I just put a stamp on it normally as I would if I were sending a card myself? Or should I go to the post office and pay for tracking on it so that the customer can track it?

If you've done something like this in the past, how did you handle the shipping? I would love any advice you can offer.

Many thanks in advance!

Have you tried asking the buyer to provide you with the recipient's address. That way you can just create an Etsy shipping label and you and the buyer can track it.
