I know this is random, but apparently this is where all the natter happens now!
Since Christmas I've been trying to become more healthy and breaking my days up with more exercise, and have recently invested in a Fitbit. My sleep is tracked accurately, however sometimes it says I've taken over 100 steps before I've even got out of bed in the morning... Anyone else ever had this issue? I paid decent money for the thing, and know it's not always going to be 100% accurate but I expect it to work most of the time.
It's a fitbit Charge 3 if this helps.
xx
I quit wearing mine because it would constantly be off on the steps and never got my sleep quite right. You can change the sensitivity of the tracker while you are sleeping etc in the settings but I found out it only slightly helped and still was off on steps.
I work on a computer and do different things at my desk, and my steps are always off too . The more I move my arms around the more steps I get. I get steps for stuffing envelopes. lol I just upped my step goal to accomodate for it.
I have a Fitbit Flex and I can wear it in a necklace too, I do that once in a while. Someone had mentioned strapping it to the laces of their shoe somehow to get a more accurate count because they work at a desk too. And when they ride their bike the only way to get an accurate count is to wear it on their shoe. I'd be afraid I'd lose it though.
Kind of amusing, especially since the others have posted that moving about sets it off ... yesterday I saw a GIF of Cookie Monster eating cookies furiously, and the caption was "If you eat cookies fast enough, you'll fool your Fitbit into thinking you are runnning!" LOL!
Yes, A friend uses a round knitting loom to make hats, her fitbit counts her arm movements as steps.
I have seen anklet band options for fitbit. Maybe that would be more accurate for you for the steps?
I'm not sure about the sleep, although.... you can "start sleep" and "stop sleep" in the app by pressing the + in the upper right corner on the sleep screen.
I do not have a fitbit. But you may want to use your phone. There are GPS apps (that are free) that I use when I am bike riding or walking. Honestly, I found them purely by accident.
Funny, I barely use my phone to talk, but I like it for this.
ETA: I even got a little thingee to attach my phone to the bike so I did not have to put it "on me".
Are you sleepwalking maybe?
