Gayle lots of spamming going on all over lately.
If I am quiet it is because some nasty team Captain (NOT HERE) kicked me off her team saying all I did was show my work and run.....I had already explained that hubby was unwell and I was running round in circles but she told me to go and paint a self portrait big enough for my head and that my paintings were amateurish and her grand daughter could paint better.
She has really knocked me for six.
I am aware, that sometimes I just go on teams and show my listing but there was no need for this individual to be so rude.
SO , sadly I won't be showing my work as much in the future...this has really upset me....
I hope that everyone is well and making lots of sales.
We have been lucky here in Baglan with no snow (yet)

Oh Brenda, I am SO sorry to hear that. That was totally uncalled for. Your art is beautiful. You have a wonderful eye for colour. My particular favourites were the little Westie dogs that you painted a few years back - you captured their expressions perfectly. So whimsical!
Please don't pay attention to that beastly, rude person. You have more important things to deal with at the moment. I hope hubby is recovering well. Big hugs from all of us.

I'm sorry too that I haven't responded to your message until now. I have had my own problems I'm afraid - running around in circles - and haven't had very much time for etsy.
It has been very quiet here of late. I hope you are all well.
Spring is just on the horizon and that should lift our spirits.

Thanks Brenda. I have an awful lot going on in my life at the moment but I'm hoping that things will be back on an even keel within the next couple of months.

Try not to dwell on one person's negative vibes. Just take a look at all the wonderful feedback that you have from your past customers. I think it speaks for itself - and attests to the quality of your creations.

I hope the 'meet' went well Sarah-Jane. Too far for me unfortunately - no transport and pets to look after! My mobility is virtually zero at the moment.
I hope you are all well. I thought that sales had started to pick up for awhile - but then blinked and missed it!! I think the recent category changes are having an adverse effect. Lots of glitches. Let's hope they get ironed out soon

Go Michael Sheen! Just watched his BBC 2 show re the chartists and essentially calling for revolution in the Valleys, I think my other half is thinking of going out and getting properly involved with the green party now. Excellent show, well worth a watch if you have time still on iplayer for 11 days I think, just search Michael Sheen.

It's a sad state of affairs when we have to get 'fired up' politically by a Hollywood actor. There was a time when politicians used to give impassioned speeches like that!! ( I can remember the last remnants of that tradition back in the 1970s and early 80s!)

I hope the Greens do well at the next election. We need more 'conviction' politicians with a bold alternative agenda. I'm also excited that the Greens, the SNP and Plaid Cymru will be included in the TV Leader debates. Personally, I'd like to see a Labour/ SNP/Green Coalition after the next election - but I wouldn't put money on that happening!!

I watched Michael Sheen's programme about the Chartists last week and enjoyed it immensely (speaking as someone who was a Welsh social historian in a 'former life'!). Definitely worth watching:

I'm also a huge fan of Owen Jones, who was interviewed on the programme. I read all his Guardian columns (well, there's not much happening on etsy on the moment!).

Let's hope etsy picks up soon. I feel as though my shop is in some sort of twilight zone

Just got notification that I've been accepted for Made by Hand this year in city hall, Yay! Sales everywhere are very very slow at the moment but this time of year is always pretty bad for me. I think it's people sorting out taxes etc, thats my theory anyway.

Etsy captains summit this weekend, I know I'm not the leader for this team but if anyone has any questions they want me to try find an answer for just holler :)
