Photography Question..

This may sound like a silly question, but I don't want to mislead customers in any way.

I would like to add some photography to my shop... when I get my photos printed, I just go to the photo store (Blacks) and have it printed there. Is this what you call "professionally printed"? Just a regular photo on regular photo paper, printed at the store?

I'm only asking because it almost seems too easy! But is this what you do when you sell photography?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Photography Question..

It is but you have to make sure that you ask for quality printing. Some stores just use the cheepest papers and the photos will fade. Talk to your store about this question and let them know what you want to do. They should make some suggestions as to paper quality and print options that should help. If they don't, find a new photo shop.

You can also call local shops and let them know what you want to do and just ask questions, you will learn a lot about the shop and about photo printing just by asking the professionals.

Hope this helped.

Re: Photography Question..

Very good advice from the above poster. I found out the hard way that not all photo printing services are alike. There's some I love but are more costly. I will use them for special pics or ones that I want to be metallic. Then with others, I'll choose one of my other favorites, still good but more cost effective.
