Had 5" of fresh snow last night......clear bluebird skies today and 40'.........had a flock of pine siskins at the feeder this morning....now 3 evening grosbeaks....they are amazingly beautiful, but pigs!!!
Snow, nice! I have blue jays, doves, and finches vying for the bird bath throughout the day and my first ever fruiting banana tree. It popped out a pink bud the size of an ear of corn about a week ago.
It's been in the 80s all week here. The norm is 60s. We're in full spring, storms included. I'm beginning to wonder what summer will be like..... I'm trying to get a jump on the season and get in as much gardening between rains.
I love banana trees and their flowers/fruits. They don't grow here, but I've seen plenty of them in LA and FLA and Jamaica.
