haha... If that is your work- its really good! From what I see, the problem might be your activity.
Make circles, make a Facebook page for your shop, make treasuries, make a twitter account for your shop, network network network.
i noticed on a couple paintings you said 'send you a picture and you can paint it'
It might seem to potential buyers that unless they can send you a pic, they can't buy - so what I would suggest is if you paint anything other than portraits, get them listed also. Animals, landscapes, stills, make-believe- anything that will appeal to a wider audience.
and the first thing I thought when I saw your paintings- 'that would be great for anniversaries, and birthdays... especially for older people- like milestones.'
also wedding portraits or engagement portraits... even if you have to paint them from an unlikely source so people can see- even older pics
Join some good treasury teams and be active. Use different media types if you like others and make the little art prints for people that just want to sample or collect. I think I would have some stock paintings that would appeal to a larger group of people and then make some custom listings.
FILL UP YOUR TAGS- I can't stress that enough. Play with different tags and the real money spenders are weddings and engagements. The more you can market to newlyweds or the wedding crowd- the better.
Maybe start a blog about your art and work on random paintings that inspire you or sketches if you still like pencils. And fill up your descriptions with interesting and informative things that a buyer might need to know.
- Like why they NEED to buy your art! Tell them why. Tell them the stories to how you started. Network with other people on Etsy, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. and promote others and in return a lot will help promote you.
Its really just the activity that I find. When I put in time networking and circling and treasuring etc. I make sales.
Hope any of that helps! I love your work!
Feel free to convo anytime!
Added you to my circle!
