It would be great to read about what methods people use for merch photography in general. I am one who finds contentment with my iPhone 5's product shots. I feel that taking pictures of your goods with the proper post-production could suffice. You have the option of many stylistic filters to accentuate your product. Yes, with the overuse of filtration, you could diminish the authenticity of lifelike color/hue. But with a bit of practice, I find that anyone could find their groove and theme.
I currently shoot from an iPhone 5. The apps I use for editing are:
-VSCO Cam
-Afterlight
-Pixlr Express+

Would love to know what tools & resources everyone else uses for merch photography. Don't limit it to just smartphone photography, either! Simply tell us about your gear and methods!
