Get Together?

What do you guys think about doing a get together at a central location? It would be fun to hear how everybody got started with their particular crafts and what experiences we have all had selling on Etsy. Let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking that we might set something up. It's probably a good idea to meet everybody first and see where to go from there. I am doing a small open house with a friend at the end of August, would love the opportunity to combine resourses and work with others.

This sounds like a great idea! Then we will actually get to meet each other face to face. My husband jokes that my Etsy friends are imaginary friends lol.

Oh good! MoonScape did you find out if we are able to convo the team? Does anybody have a suggestion of a good place to meet? I'm not sure how many people it will be, so it would have to be somewhere that would work for a large or small group.

No - unfortunately we cannot convo the team - only individuals. So we will need to just post in the discussion. Once we figure out where / when - maybe create a new thread. You can also add folks to your contacts by contacting them in a convo - individually.. :(

Early September works for me! I'm in Katy, but I work a day job at beltway 8 and bellaire, so anywhere centrally located works for me!

Maybe like a Starbucks or La Madeline on a Saturday morning? I'm not sure, just throwing out an idea.

I can do Saturday morning late. I teach a yoga class from 9:00 until 10:15, but can come after that. The time would depend on where we meet. A coffee place would be a good idea, then we don't have to worry about finding a table for everybody.

Sigh. The worst times for me are Friday afternoon and Saturday. Think we could do an event on a weeknight at some point, as well?

I can make free time during the day. Evenings and weekends are insane for me with kids and activities.

I think we may have to have more than one get together. One on Saturday and one during the week. I have a strange schedule, but both options can work for me. How does everybody feel about having the Saturday one on September 10th? Somewhere central, but just off the freeway for those coming from farther away?
