Hi Everyone! As requested here is a little about myself and how I came to be on Etsy :)
I started crocheting when I was about 10 years old. My grandmother taught me one summer that I was spending with them. I had never finished a product until I made a scarf back in 2013. For Christmas I decided to make my whole family handmade gifts. Since that point I haven’t been able to put able to put my crochet hook down.
I got the idea to open a shop when my husband suggested I could sell some of the things I was crocheting. I started out with making little girl items, but my shop has morphed into more of a baby centered shop. I have always been a stuffed animal lover and once I found out that I could use my hobby to make them I was overjoyed! Since that point I’ve gone on to make baby lovies as well, which I find a lot of joy in making because I know how much comfort they can bring little ones. Diaper covers were a great addition helping me come up with the baby shower gift sets that I’m expanding my shop to include.
I have a baby nephew and a 5 year old niece where most of my inspiration comes from. They have been my guinea pigs :) I also find inspiration in looking up new crochet patterns and perusing crochet blogs. I even find myself in stores looking at stuffed animals going “oh I could make that”
