So today’s featured shop Simple Home Accents is by our teammate Jennifer!!!

Our teammate Jennifer comes to us from the great state of Illinois- Jen joins us every day on the Daily Chat and BNR despite having a demanding, full time job as a legal assistant.

Jennifer’s shop has been open less than 6 months and she is already experiencing sales and orders like a pro. She just had her first custom order and the customer was thrilled with the end result that they created together.

Jennifer’s shop has everything from fresh homemade soaps to decorative clothespins. She has nice sharp pictures and a well thought out shopping pages. Come by and give her a peek today.

Good morning team! I'm so honored and excited to be shop of the day!

First, a correction - I am from the great state of Ohio, not Illinois :)

What to say about myself...well, I live with my boyfriend, 2 cats and a bunny we took in last winter. Believe it or not they get along great (even with the boyfriend).

I have always loved to create, even since I was just a kid. I have dabbled in art, crafts, you name it. I also really love home decorating - I have remodeled half the rooms in our house from floor to ceiling, much to my boyfriend's amazement.

My greatest masterpiece is a 6-foot high treehouse I built last year for the cats, which sits in my living room. It's made to look like an actual tree with flowers blossoming. The trunk is welded together (the one part my boyfriend did) and I made the house of wood and covered it with shingles and a shingled roof. There is a scratchpad ramp to the front door and also a roof door which leads to a second level that is a fluffy green pillow surrounded by leaves. This has nothing to do with anything, I just like to brag about how cool it is :)

I joined Etsy just under 2 months ago now, when I decided to try and make money off something I love to do. It has been a slow but steady start and I learn more every day. I never anticipated meeting such a great group of people as this team. This is the first place I turn with questions and concerns.

Jennifer, for having just started, you are already showing that you are going to have a very successful business. A year from now, you will look back and see where all of the hard work has paid off. Heck, you can see it now!

I personally think those soaps are awesome. If I didn't share a bathroom with two dorks, I'd get them for my bathroom. I am HIGHLY considering getting some for a gift :) I know a few people who appreciate small gifts like that. ;)

Jennifer - I really want to see this amazing cat house now.haha. We had a cat house for the first year or so of my boston terriers life because he just loved climbing and burrowing deep inside the little caves.lol. Such a weirdo. But yes, I want to see it!!haha.

I purchased a set of Jennifer's custom coasters and they came out wonderful! I bought them for my Dad and could'nt resist giving them to him before Christmas so I gave them to him last weekend for his Birthday instead. He loved them and said they were too nice to set his beer on ;o)

Jennifer was so nice to deal with, she kept updated and even added a picture of my custom order to her listing ;o) I will definitely buy from her shop again!

You should try marketing the teal waves soap at Tulane U., their mascot is the Green Wave (you'd have to rename it!). I'll be getting my daughter some soon!
