Good morning all. I just checked to see if chat was up yet, then I looked at my phone and my reminder said "chat" lol. Duh, forgot it's my day!

Hope you are all having a good week so far.

Pat, hope the doctor calls today to schedule.

Peggy, to answer your question, no there is no one you can call at the real estate division prior to taking the classes and tests. I've done extensive research on the subject and they will not even entertain talking to you until everything else is done and you apply for the license.

Anyway, the game plan right now is to take classes starting in October. I'd have to go almost every Saturday and Sunday from 10-3 for close to 4 months. You can get it done in 3 weeks if you go 8-5 Monday through Friday, but then I could not work. The classes are about $1300 plus I'd lose 3 weeks of income.

So if I go with this plan I'd be done by February. I would have to suck it up here for awhile longer, saving money from my paychecks and shows in the meantime. After that, I'd take my test and pray for the best with licensing.

As for the boss, I give up on him altogether. The more I try to make things right here, the more frustrated and anxious I get. So I have moved on to acceptance. Having a game plan to move on/exit strategy is helping me a lot mentally. I'll continue to do my job but I expect nothing from him or the powers that be in this office.

OK sorry no quotes today...I keep getting phone calls and I want to get this posted! Have a great day everyone!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Morning Jen and Elaine.

I like your game plan Jen. At least it gives you something to work towards and look forward to. We're certainly all behind you.

Hi Elaine. Sounds like crazy busy is your life right now! LOL Could be a lot worse I suppose.

We started the morning with thunderstorms so Pepper wasn't happy at all. They stopped about 8:00 but will start up again this afternoon. I took her to the vet today to get updated on all of vaccinations and a bath, etc. She was so excited to be in the car riding and loved seeing everyone at the vet until she realized that I wouldn't be staying with her. She kept trying to follow me out the door. She's so funny.

Have started some laundry and done up the dishes. About to head into the sewing room to get some things done.

I'll be back later to catch up with everyone.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Hi Elaine! Glad you could stop by!

Hi Pat! Aww, poor Pepper! I always hate leaving them at the vet. It's much easier when I can sit in the room with them.

Well I did find one job I'm going to apply to actually - it's a paralegal job for the State of Ohio in the public defender's office. The pay is really good and it ha state benefits. The only thing I don't like is the county it's in - not terribly far, but the opposite direction of where we're hoping to move. But the pay would be worth the drive. I think I'll apply but I'm still sticking with the game plan if I don't hear from them. State jobs are hard to get so I won't hold my breath anyway.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Well Jen that's a good start. You just never know.

Pepper will be there all day, that's why I didn't stay with her. If it had just been for shots and check up I would have. But they love her and they'll spoil her rotten so she'll be fine.

About to finish my tunic top! I'll try and get Bruce to take pictures of me in it sometime today to post so you can see it.

Need to start on some new cell phone purses. I haven't listed anything new in so long! Also need to get pics of the new dog items I made for the show but it's pretty cloudy today so not sure I'll be able to swing that. We'll see.

Pat I can't wait to see the tuning!

I can't wait to list my new soaps either. I love when I get to make new stuff, not just restocking more of the same.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Oh I forgot to mention, my hard work exercising is really starting to pay off! It's so motivating to feel the results (plus I just feel better). The bad news is all the pants I bought a few months ago are too big for me now lol. Guess I better go shopping soon, not that I can afford it at the moment. Totally worth it though!

I just posted pictures of the tunic. Bruce is too busy right now to take pics of me in it but I at least wanted to post pictures of it.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

hello again!!! Luck on the job Jen!! no harm in trying!! Congrats on the work out!! I need to seriously buckle down, and will be going for a hike in just a few!! My older daughter is having a rather unconventional bachelorette party… a group of us are joining her for "Mudderella" look it up on line…. should be a blast!! but as I (and her future mother in law), are the "older" participants, I am going to have to really get myself going to keep up with the others!! LOL

Pat, Peppers face… poor puppy!! I will go look at the tunic pic soon!!

I finally got this one listed!! I am so tempted to keep it!! LOL

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Hi Everyone!

Jen, sounds like a good game plan on the classes and you never know on the other job :) You have nothing to lose, right? Your hard work with exercising is really paying off even though you'll be paying out to get new pants! lol

Elaine, I love your jean jacket!! So you :) I looked up Mudderella online and I must say, that would be more my style than the conventional bachelorette party. An obstacle course minus the mud would be even more my style! lol

Pat, I love Pepper's pic on fb...she looks like she's a little unsure of what's going on. lol Love the tunic and material you chose! Can't beat $7.50 for a top!

I took pics of 2 items (necklace and earrings) as soon as I got up. I wanted to get them taken while the sun was just right and no shadows coming in through the window. I'll be editing soon.

I have a long list of things I want to get accomplished today - we'll see how far I get!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Well, Matt just bought a truck. He has been looking like crazy for the right one that will haul his bobcat and all the sand, etc. His dump truck almost pooped out yesterday going through the hills of PA. He said it started to stall going uphill so this is great timing!

Unfortunately it put a big dent in the house fund but it's a necessity that will allow him to work and replace that money. Gotta spend money to make money!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Jen my only concern is doesn't that eat up your show season... isn't there a night class way to do it or online at your own speed? I'm all for you getting away from disfuntion, but I would think that fall-Christmas is exactly when you want to be doing shows not being at class. Crossing my fingers you can have a killer summer season! I can see where ending in Feb is good since by then your bf will be thinking of getting back into the real work again so you wont be going hungry between sales.

GM everyone else, well some of you just moved into afternoon, but I started typing in morning lol...

Trying to see if hubby will stop by on his lunch as I had something that needs to go out. So far he hasn't seen my msg. but that could just be he has not gone into the notification.
Tomorrow is the u/s but it's not till the afternoon, so I should still be able to make it by in the AM.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Hi Moes! Hope your hubby sees the message in time!

Actually, I'm waiting until October so I don't miss my show season. All my big shows are in the summer. I am not doing any of the fall/winter shows anymore because they all stink, except for that one where I did AMAZING last December and I already checked, there will not be class that weekend, which is awesome :)

I've been thinking about that paralegal job with the state and I don't know if I want to apply. It's with the public defender's office and I hate criminal law - sometimes you end up defending the scum of the earth and it's unsettling. From the very beginning I've never wanted to be involved with criminal law and I hated it when boss used to take those cases. Most of it's not too bad but at that office sometimes I'd have to be working with rapists and murderers...not really my cup of tea.

I hate that county too -there's a lot of bad memories there for me. That's where my horrible nightmare of bad behavior began, actually working right there across from the courthouse. I think I'm ready to just put all this law business behind me and start over with something else.

Wow I'm just writing a book today, chapter by chapter lol. When I have a lot on my mind, I guess I like to brainstorm here. Sorry!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Jen, you need to do what's right for you...sounds like your heart is telling you not to drum up old memories or work in a legal field that makes you uncomfortable.

Moes, hoping you got hold of hubby and he will stop by on his lunch.

Got a few things checked off on my list :) Moving on!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Glad you're getting through that list Jamie!

So this is funny...I was talking to the one girl here about real estate and she said the office manager (the backstabby one) has also mentioned wanting to go into real estate. She gets very snippy with people and has no patience when talking to employees or clients, so I can't imagine she'd be very good at it. I may have an attitude with boss, but I pretty much treat everyone else like gold. I just thought it was funny that she was looking into the same job field lol.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Elaine I would LOVE that kind of bachelorette party! What a great idea. You guys have fun.

The jacket is great. Love your handwork. That shouldn't last long at all.

Jamie glad to hear you're getting things crossed off your list today. That's always a good feeling. Will be looking for your new listings.

Moes did you hear from your husband? Hope you were able to catch him.

I got one new crossbody purse done this afternoon. Posted pictures of it. One of the Coop owners had asked for an evening style that she could carry. I found fabric last week and decided to try it today. I made it a little longer and also added a gusset to give the bottom some room for larger items while still keeping it pretty small/flat. I lined it with white satin so you could find things in it. I still have to make the shoulder strap but I like how it looks and I think I'll start making more of them in case I get into the TBEC Etsy Craft Party next month.

Pepper's back and wants so bad to be outside but she just got bathed and there's also another huge storm on the way so she won't want to be out there soon. She's laying right at the door hoping we'll see her. So funny.

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Oh and Jen, I understand your reasoning completely and don't blame you at all. I think it's great that you're ready to start something new and that you know yourself well enough to know that you wouldn't be happy doing that kind of law. Smart girl!

Re: THAT Daily Chat - Game Plan

Ugh no didn't catch hubby, and now am a bit poed at him.. I mean really it doesn't take much to look at ones phone 1 time in the morning, and then he knew I needed him and instead he is staying late... and this isn't just an oh something came up today so he's late, it's like this every day, or has been since about a week after the move. till then he was off and home b4 5 every day, now it's lucky if he's home by 6, which was ok when he had an hour to drive home, but not now that he is 8 min away...
And it's nnot like I sent one message and crossed my fingers, I sent the one after his normal meeting time, and then a follow up when he normally is heading out or about to head out for lunch. so I get a reply from him when he probably got back from lunch... or who knows... and well I have little filling food in the house and now it will be after 6 again b4 he gets home and maybe we can eat by 7... that's just not ... well idk I'm venting, but guess I'm just cranky...
We'll see how he screws me over tomorrow for my appt. he is suppose to take a half day, which I've already explained to him means he doesn't go to lunch and then back to work for an hour... it means he hose in and stays till lunch aand then comes home... but he's so bad about telling anyone no for anything work related.... He's so afraid of getting grouped in with the guy who started with him, whom has missed a ton of work, comes in late and leaves early, which is noticed since they are salary. but of course your talking about the guy whom the only sick day hubby has ever had, he went in and got sent home... that's in like 18 years of working. He's taken personal days and vacation, but nothing emergency like.
