How is everyone doing? I am sorry I have not been on the chat for days now - but like Tara, I am stepping back a little bit too. I am so busy with taking care of my aunt and my house guest now and I just need some extra time for me. I have put the BNR on hold until the first of April. I will still be doing my chats on Tuesdays and Thursdays

I'm having computer problems, I wanted to edit the pictures of my new bracelet, but I haven't been able, so hopefully this afternoon my husband fixes everything. I have downloaded them to the other computer, and have erased them from the camera ... and now I don't have them in this computer ... crazy.
This is a good Tuesday start for me ... we'll see what else happens today ...

Tura - We understand the stepping back. You have a ton on your plate. Your thread title is oddly fitting sibce here in the land of Prince we're getting slammed with snow. Raspberry Beret will be wearing much, much more today.

Nuria - I hope you get your computer and photo problems figured out. Hiw frustrating.

Work today. I have to leave earlier due to the crappy snowstorm. Better get in the shower while it's still early.

Thank you for everyone's advice yesterday. I believe I will approach her about the shipping once I receive and inspect the item. Between gem, silver and time, I cannot really afford to shell $3.37 out of pocket for something that was not my fault. So, again thank you for your input.

Well, I ran to the store yesterday to get something I needed, but it turned into a 5hr trip. When I came out of the store and turned on my car, the battery light was on again. So I checked under the hood, and yep, serpentine belt had slipped off and was wrapped around the fan yet again. Luckily fan is okay and the other belt is fine. So figured out the problem, bad pulley and a missing one too. Now the missing was like that when we bought the car, so funny all this is just happening now.

Anyways, fan is off and one pulley on. Tim has to pick up one more pulley after work since they did not have it in stock. Hopefully this will correct the problem. Grrrr.

Even though I was not even a mile from home, it would have been stop and go traffic, the car would have overheated, so I called a tow truck. They showed up 2 1/2 hrs after I called. Fun times.

So today, I need to finish the custom order and catch up on the work that did not get done yesterday.

Nuria, that's always frustrating. Computers command all parts of our lives and it's so hard when they don't work. We're kind of at a standstill. Hope your hubby is able to get to up and running again and you are able to get your bracelet posted today.

Oh Brenda, more snow? Ugh. Will there ever be an end? Hope so and SOON!

Got nothing done yesterday except to get my 5 pair of panties to do samples on. Thanks for everyone's ideas and contributions. I'm hoping to get at least two pair out today even with all I have outside Etsy. Mentoring at 10:00, haircut at noon and then class tonight.

Rained hard all day yesterday. It was like a monsoon here. Today it's cooler and still windy but I'll take that. Our dry season is almost upon us and this will help keep the fires down. Our poor son came to the gym just me and got a flat tire as he parked. Ran over something in the road before pulling in and it was flat before he got out of the truck. We had to take him home and he had to come back later to put the spare on. It's always something.

Ok, need to eat and get my morning going.

Oh Jacqui! What a day. Our son also had to wait for AAA to come and help him last night. His truck slipped off the jack two times because he had too much stuff in the back. Nothing like waiting in the rain.

You are right, I was soaked. I was on the phone with Tim, he was having me check everything out so he knew what parts to buy/order. I really am learning a lot about cars, all under protest.
Glad it all worked out well for your son. We have allstate roadside, but next check will be switching to AAA, it is $65 cheaper a year and offers more assistance.

Okay, off to the condo office to get permission to fix the car later, 20 minutes of work and no mess, hopefully she says yes. Then got to get to it. Custom order first on the agenda, then more spring and bridal jewelry.

As for me, I seem to be having a run of days where nothing is going right. Aside from my computer running like molasses, none of my products are cooperating and turning out the way I want. I started a light switch plate for an order on Sunday and I may have to make it over again - I've already tried to fix it twice. Soaps are making me crazy as well. Ugh, I've done enough complaining on this chat so I'll just leave it at that.

Jen- Take a deep breath or kick the back of your chair. (Not too hard, all you need is a broken toe too) It will all work itself out. I hate, it is just frustrating when my creations do not cooperate. Hoping your stubborn items start to cooperate soon.

wow, everyone is having such issues to deal with. Let's start the week over, a complete do-over. It's got to be better.

Going to sew. Have been doing quilting, but my wrist is bothering me a bit, so I'll lay off that for a day or two. Oh, that is an excuse to figure out the sweater pattern and get started. Sounds like a plan.

Good for you Peggy. Smart to lay off for a few days. I've had the same problem but with my right wrist and I'm left handed. Go figure. At least you have the opportunity to move on to something else and you get a star for making good use of your time! lol

Jen, wish I could help you with the soaps. Some days nothing goes right so it's best to step back and not press it. With the week you've already had maybe just take a couple of days and give yourself a fresh start this weekend.

Well, my girl didn't show up this morning which is odd because she never misses and it didn't show that she's absent today. Hmmmm. At least the school is close so I didn't go out of my way. So it's on to my haircut at noon and then home to stitch! I have all my new bridal designs worked out for the panties and I hope to get a least 2 done today.

Bit of a hitch with my order, need to run to the bead store to pick up something. He put it aside for me, but I have to wait for Mom to get off of work to take me. It is raining still, and not really walking distance. Oh, well.

Oh, and the property manager said no problem. That she will make sure to tell Mike ( Sec. Guard) So that is one less thing to worry about. :)

Think I'm going to have an early lunch, then create other pieces. Hope everyone's day is looking up and everyone is having a nice morning so far. Chat with you all later!

Jen - This thread is FOR complaining! Better to spill it out then let it build up lady! I think what you need to do is take the soaps...whichever ones are responsible for your frustration....and throw them against a brick way while laughing manically. I think that sounds pretty healing.lol

Erica - Are you still liking work or has picking up more shifts sortta turned you off of it?lol.

Peggy - I'm down for a do-over!!! Do you wear a wrist brace? Joint problems are the worst...:S

My hubby is off today, and tomorrow :) We're just hanging out. Went to use the gym in our apartment building for the first time and it STINKS. It really sucks. All the equipment is old and breaking. Which sucks since we gave up our gym membership thinking we could save money and just use this gym. *sigh* Okay, better get on making some lunch. An early lunch but I'm hungry!!

I think I'm having a bad day. I have damaged one of my fingers uping a blind at home. For a moment I've been sick and I thought I was loosing consciousness, it has been awful, and I wanted to cry !

It still itches a lot but the good thing is that it is my left hand ... so I still can work. Now I'll have all the rainbow colors on my finger !

Krystal - I hate to be a whiner and I feel bad always complaining about my poopy life. Most of it's in my head and I know people have it much worse than me, so I need to keep it in check :)

Well, tried the first pair of panties with one of the fonts I wanted to use and it didn't work at all. I won't be using that font again.

On the up side, my daughter just placed a custom order for 6 of the chevon coin purses to give for "admin" week in April. She's getting to be quite the customer of mine! LOL

Hair is cut now off to pick up my car. Just a tune up today.

WARNING TO MY TEAMMATES

I just received a call - at my work # - from a guy with a thick Indian accent claiming to be an FTC agent. He said I fraudulently took out a payday loan and they were filing charges. He had the last 4 of my social, my email, my address and obviously my work # (that part is what really made me mad). I kept asking questions he couldn't answer - like when did this happen, who is the company. Apparently I took a $3,000 loan out in Jan of this year from a company called "Cash Advance" lol. Anyway, he wanted me to pay some $ so they wouldn't file charges. I told him send the court papers to my house lol.

I wrote the # from the caller ID and googled it - there were pages upon pages of people who got the same call, same circumstances - some also got called at work.

My main concern here is that they had my info - scary! This just happened to a friend of mine recently and they threatened her, saying they would send the cops to get her at work if she didn't pay over the phone. So PLEASE don't ever pay something over the phone unless you know for sure who it is. Scamming has become an epidemic lately.

Jen- Scammers and thieves are very tech savvy and resourceful. Scary thing is, these days anyone with a little bit of time and some internet knowledge can get any information on people these days. Super scary.
I would report it to the non emergency police line, if you haven't already.
