Good morning team and Happy Friday the 13th!

I'm getting chat up for Pat today as she has her trip.

Today I'm on pins and needles waiting to see if I get paid. I've been nervous before, but this is definitely the most nervous I've ever been. Basically if this potential client doesn't show up today, with cash, I don't think I'll get paid. People say they're coming all the time and don't show, so it's really up in the air.

In other news, Katie got a job yesterday and is supposed to start today. Then she hit a deer last night going 55 mph. She said the deer hit her in the head but she's ok. She sent me pics of her car and the windows are all busted out and there's a lot of body damage. She said of course this is the first time in her life she doesn't have insurance - she can't afford it since she's hasn't worked in months. She said the car is driveable and she's going to the job. The most important thing is she's ok. I hope she can get through this, the timing is horrible :(

Anyway, no quotes today since I'm at work. Hope you all have a great day!

Glad Katie is okay. Also so happy she has a job interview and is taking her recovery seriously this time.
No insurance, I remember those days. Happened 3 times when Eva was a baby/toddler, where it was feed ourselves or pay the insurance. Sux, because no insurance ends up costing penalty and reinstatement fees from dmv and higher insurance for the lapse. So 3 times or more the cost of the payment. They really do kick you when you are down.

Anyways, keeping fingers crossed that you get your paycheck and that you get the new job. I can't wait until you get to say sayonora, adios. goodbye and good riddance to your boss.

Me, have to head to drop off car for oil change shortly, then pick up a few groceries at sams.

Been finding some great deals on craigslist, meeting one at to 11:30 near mall to pick up organizer for Mason and one at 6 for some vtech toys.

Had a nice night with Tim, tonight or tomorrow we will go for a birthday dinner.

Kodi woke me up earlier than normal to go outside so thought I'd say hi!

Jen - Keeping my fingers crossed that you get paid today! That's scary about Katie! Stinks about her car and no insurance but she's still going to work and that's a good thing.

Jacqui - Love Craigslist...can't say we've bought anything off of it but have sold our quads, sandrail and more. I'm all about buying used and recycled items! Vtech was around when my kids were little :)

Elaine - I meant everything I said with your review :) I can't wait to give her the bag!!

Getting ready for my show today. 7 to 9p.m. setup and it's from 9 to 4 tomorrow. I'll have a slightly different display but basically the same as before. I have a little fake Xmas tree that I hang my Xmas earrings on and I have a few Xmas bracelets to display.

The wind is blowing like crazy and it's suppose to rain today and tomorrow. Even though my show is inside, still makes me wonder if some people won't come due to the weather :(

Off to eat some breakfast and then get busy!

Yea, the most important thing is that she's OK. I'm glad her car is at least driveable, but it's in pretty bad shape. She's having lots of problems with her husband and now this...I hope she can stay strong. I went without insurance in the past and also totalled a car - not driveable. We can always get through this somehow. I told her if there's anything mechanically wrong with it, Matt can help. But he doesn't do body work or windows, and I think that's the main problem.

Jacqui, glad you are finding some bargains. Be careful meeting people through Craigslist though...I'm too paranoid to meet up with someone like that lol.

Jamie, good luck at the show tomorrow! Our wind is insane yesterday and today. I don't know how Zoey didn't blow into the next county lol. I kept her inside today!

I don't think the weather should affect you too much. We usually don't have problems with inside shows here unless it's really icy on the roads.

I have nothing to do again and the anticipation of whether I'm getting paid is making my stomach hurt :(

Jen/Jacqui, they have made craigslist and FB transactions easy here in town, they encourage people to go ahead and meet up in the Police dept parking lot... Not to say that solves all issues, but if it was risky in my mind that's where I would want to be... I've pretty much always done them in the town over, and don't go alone, so it's always been ok for us... Have gotten kids stuff which was at their home, and gotten a 3DS that a kid lost for misbehaiving in school, in a lowes parking lot, oh and think we got a DS thing in another town, but that may of been garage sale... It's not always what the news makes it out to be... That being said they have had some issues down in DMS which is when the police dept. here stepped up and said do them here...

Jamie best of luck at your show, and yes the wisdom says rainy days means people aren't spending sadly...

Boys are out of school today for inservice, So I probably should get to playing with them... I had a headache this morning so let them come up grab their kindles and leave me alone LOL... Then spent a good amount of time after I did get up rotating/condencing the dehydrator again, new batch that I started yesterday.

Oh so forget if I mentioned it here, but the store I was going to store some stuff in, is now closing at the end of the month, so not going to be taking anything there, but a moms group I am part of is doing something at a restaurant and I'll be doing that Monday... Not really sure how much stuff they want us to bring for that, but I have all this stuff set aside for taking to that shop... which is just never open when I'm available, that's why it never made it there... So planning on taking that.

Oh and boys had conferences yesterday, and both are doing well.
5yo is having more trouble, s she is facing the issue I faced here and knew I couldn't teach him... When it comes to learning he's terrified of being wrong, so unless he is certain he just shut down and wont even try... But hey he got 13 when they did the number test and got up to 49! 13 is a number he almost always skips, in fact he did at his docs apt Wed... So I know the problem isn't gone, but glad to see they had gotten past it for the test...
It was kinda funny as the teacher said it was lack of self confidence for why he shuts down, but that's not really it, it's that fear of being wrong... I would never go around saying he isn't a risk taker, like she was, just not in the classroom... On the bright side, he attaches to how they teach reading now so much better than his brother... I tried and tried to get 8yo to learn what sounds letters made and to sound stuff out, but he wouldn't, not that he was ever behind in reading, he just would not do it their way. Overall 5yo did much better than I thought he would... School is never going to be his thing, hes physical, oh and we got addressed his issue with another student, so that the music teacher can separate them and hopefully they'll do better... They have lockers next to each other which probably isn't helping either, but I think if he only has to deal with the student that bothers him at the locker it's better than the classroom. I've told him sometimes we just have to put up with people you don't get aalong with.

8yo is doing great, just like we thought he would. Unlike 5yo school is def 8yo's thing... The more learning the better... Although he wasn't in the special higher level stuff this year, his teacher is going to start and send a group of her kids off to that upper level teacher for reading, which he was never in her reading group b4 so that is exciting, He wants to go to the upper level stuff for math, but his teacher is introducing a lot of new stuff he just hasn't been introduced to b4 so she wont do that till that section is over. Yes my 8yo loves math!

I literally just fell asleep. He's in his office with a client and has another one coming in 20 minutes. I still have nothing to do, but I should when the client leaves. Still no mention of my pay...

Yeah the physical local shop that I was just going to help fill some shelves for... Where I didn't plan to sell anything at, but it was helping me declutter, well it's still helped as the stuff I was going to take there is all boxed up by the door ready for Monday. Best part about Monday is no fee! Well other than I assume we are expected to eat there, but I am sure I'll go with a friend and will probably just drink something and not have dinner there, probably will spend just as much lol...

Not likeing the weather change, my seasonal sinus stuff is starting up, and I was really enjoying not deling with it, and the $60 energy bill for last month. That's got to be one of our lowest ever...

Moes, I've been sneezing for weeks and stuffy. The temperature has fluctuated between 30 and 70 degrees, which isn't good for the sinuses lol.
