Shipping Paper Flower Bouquets

Hi everyone!

I am new to selling on Etsy, and I'm trying to really do my research before I open up my store. I'll be selling bouquets, bouttonieres, and arrangements mostly made from scrapbooking paper. I made them for my recent wedding and received tons of compliments. Can anyone give me advice on the best way to ship a paper bouquet without flowers getting destroyed? How do I figure what it would cost me? Also, any advice on shipping multiple bouquets/items?

Re: Shipping Paper Flower Bouquets

Hi Stephanie, your new shop idea sounds great. Although I'm no expert at shipping I used to sell wedding guest books. The book would come in a box, then I would bubble wrap, then Brown paper. One time the parcel got to the customer so wet that even the box was soggy, thankfully book was ok, but I would perhaps tissue paper around your bouquet, then some sort of bubble wrap to at least keep it rain proof. A box would raise your costs but might be worth it. You can also take your finished product down to your local post office and they can tell you how much it will cost to various place. Hope this helps a little. ;)

Thank you for your help! I was also thinking about taking it down to the post office and asking.
