Resin and paper

I currently seal my paper flowers with a light spray sealant. I'm thinking of sealing it by dipping them in resin (to make them more durable, so I can start using them for jewelry, etc)...but each time, it just "wilts" or collapses my flower.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can resin seal my paper flowers?

THANKS!

Re: Resin and paper

Hi,
I thought a lot about your problem, and I came up with the following conclusion:
You might try a light coating of modge podge (which makes a sort of plastic seal) on your paper fan flowers before you use the resin seal. You can control how heavy of amount to put on, which may not wilt your flowers unless you put a heavy coat of modge podge on it. Also, try the resin on heavier paper. That might make a difference.
