Baby Squish Watch 2012

So I am guessing since Kelly or Adam just posted in another thread that Squish has not appeared.

Let's play some games to pass the time shall we? How about a birthday poll? When do YOU think Squish will arrive (Date and Time)?

I'll go first (dont make me look like an idiot and be the only one, not even for Katie's embarassing thread) I think we have two more days So April 7th around 3pm Adelaide time.

Hi guys,

Yes we've had Squish... sorry for the delay in getting back here, but we have a story...

Basically, I went through 44hrs of torturous hell to get her out, thankfully still a natural birth, but the inducing didn't work until 31hrs into process, then I was in a gassed out blur until about half an hr til the actual birth where I ended up getting a bit damaged and required a small procedure afterwards to get stitched up. Spent 2 days in hospital, got home late Monday night... struggled through and couldn't breastfeed, so now I'm expressing... thankful she can still get the goodness of my BM tho! Friday she was diagnosed with reflux so now we're on a 3hr feeding schedule that has basically written us off doing anything anywhere.

So I won't be around for awhile until we get settled into this new routine... on top of the whole exhaustion of being a new parent ;)

Been checking back frequently to get update. Congratulations!!! Glad that you are all O.K, and on your way to the adventure of a lifetime for a lifetime. Blessings to little squish...by the way, what did you name her?

Oh Kelly and Adam! I am so excited and I checked out the pics are she is GORGOUS!! Congrats! I am so excited for you both. I know I am half a world away but if you need any new mommy or daddy support, please let me know. You know how to find me. Again, enjoy that lovely precious baby girl!

Oh yeh, details would help hey ;)

Stephanie Kate is her name.. Kate after the midwife who spent the 4 days with us going through the majority of the process during the daytime and at the actual birth.

She was 3.4kg (7lb8.5oz) and 50cm long at birth.

Everything is in the right places ;)

The reflux has improved, the weekend midwife who came out made it worse than it actually was apparently. We're a lot mre relaxed as we have taken up a service the hospital offers called MotherCarer, where a volunteer comes out and helps during the day with cooking/cleaning and helping look after bubs. BEST SERVICE EVER! We're already 10000000 times happier after one 5.5hr session lol

wow! What a gorgeous name! I am so very happy for you both. I am glad that everything is in order. This mothercare system sounds like a God send!

Wow! Kelly, that is fantastic that they offer that. I would so have another kid if someone would come help. I am glad everything is getting better. You will get your legs under you in no time and in the meantime, ask any questions you have even if they seem obvious. Hope all is going well with hte Squish!
