Right, my first rant. And it is about etsy users.

Why do some etsy users go on and on and on about promoting themselves, getting 'hearts' and likes and tweets. So you decide to help them out. You like them on facebook, you follow them on twitter, you even favourite all the items you like on their shop in those threads where you 'post your favourite from the shop above' - but do they do this to you in return? NO.

Lmaooo!!!! Agreed! And sometimes it's a shop that has stuff that I don't like, so I read their sob story and leave the thread. Oops!

My rant is I slept all night with my phone on the charger. It was charging before I went to sleep. I woke up to find it dead and not charging, wth!!! Now got to waste my time and go to the store to find out what the problem is. Blah!

LMAO! Me too actually, there are times when I am like, 'I don't like any of this stuff...' But I heart something anyway. I hardly ever read their profiles...

That is well annoying! It happened to my iPod once. Left it on charge over night, next day when I wanted it - nothing. Luckily my brother works for apple :)

Rant: I am rubbish at briolette wraps. I keep trying and trying... and I have some really tiny swarovski crystal tear drops and I don't know what to do with them. The only really realy nice thing to do with them is to briolette wrap them. But I can't! They turn out so messy or they break the crystal! ARGH! SO I used tiger tail instead and turned them into charms. Really wish I could do the wrapping....

Oh gawd... the ones that kills me are the threads about "why isn't my shop doing well"... so you tell them they need to improve terrible photo's and and put their policies up etc etc.. only for them to ignore it, or even worse, defend WHY they haven't done those things!

This is going to come across as incredibly mean but...

Those threads mentioned above, where they say "favorite or tweet or whatever" an item from the shop above you. I always end up with the shops that have items that are so ugly or bizarre that I would never, EVER buy from them! That's definitely a thread killer! lol

Another vent, and this is because I made two treasuries today (lazy Saturday!).

This has also made me rethink my own photos, which are pretty boring compared to what's out there.

When searching for treasury items it's SO obvious which listings are in millions of treasuries. I like to choose ones that need some love so I go with most recent in my search and I'll click on them to see how many treasuries they're in. It figures that the listings with the best photos, best props, etc. are in tons of treasuries. There's so many photos on Etsy that just plain suck. I'm sure the same listings get picked for treasuries all the time because of that. I know my photos aren't the greatest but at least they're not dark and blurry with my messy kitchen showing in the background. lol

I wanted to post this on one of the business teams but I figured I might hurt some feelings. Vent over.

I know what you mean.. I sometimes come across an 'ugly' shop, and I m like I don't like anything here.. but I try not to spoil the fun and heart something anyway.. maybe I am a wimp and don't want to hurt someones feelings.

I am too changing some of my photos in the week, as I have bought a jewellery display bust and thought it would help with selling the necklaces. As i had feedback that some people can't imagine what they are like on... I think that is stupid, but hey ho! And yes the goodlooking, arty farty photos get into treasuries. I try to make mine a little arty farty...

Katie... if I can offer a little advice with your photo's, they look a tad dark and have a blue tint which is usually a sign that your white balance is out. What colour is your background sheet supposed to be?

Oh.. and feel free to tell me to pull my head in by the way lol

I know, I keep trying to make them better. I take them in natural light, and they are fine, bright and clear on my camera, but as soon as I put them on my computer they go dark... :( I am going to edit them all in the week, and try to get them brighter.

Can I whine just a tiny bit? Just for a sec? I went on vacation and I had two orders while I was gone, came home and nothing for 10 days! longest I have ever gone since the shop opened. My views are up but no sales. I am a sad panda. :(

@ Kelly, I use just a normal picture editor, windows live gallery. I have re -taken some of my pictures, just the necklaces, on busts. Tell me what you think? I think they are much better.

And it takes soo long to edit listings! I am re- taking the earrings tomorrow.
