Some days high views, most low, no sales. Help please!

Hi everyone! I have been working my butt off trying to post many new items. I am continuously working on new items. I need help though, some days when I really work on promoting I can get up to 50 views which I get excited about. But still no sales, I was wondering if anyone could just give me their opinion about the shop. I would be thrilled to finally get sales! : ) Pinterest doesn't seem to work for me, as I don't have many real life friends. How do you guys use pinterest successfully?

I think your stuff is really quite nice, you just need more listings, to get noticed more often. Also, I feel like art is one of those things where I find what I want to buy when I'm just browsing. The right art for me just calls my name when I see it. I know that doesn't help you get sales, but if shoppers buy art the same way that I do, it would pay to have more listings, and get noticed more often.

Good luck to you!

Consider making different colored prints, and keep expanding your inventory. I think it comes across quite clearly how much you care about these pieces, but now try to make the transition from "artist" when you're evaluating the shop yourself to "prospective buyer." Do you have some pieces that get more views than others? Then do more in that style.

I do think you need to expand your inventory, and that offering things in different colors might be an easy way to do this.

Re: Some days high views, most low, no sales. Help please!

I have seen a few of my items on pinterest but have received very little traffic from the site. I have not tried pinning my own items - not sure if that is taboo or not.

One small recommendation for your pictures would be to take the glass out of the frame when you photograph your prints. I originally had my prints in frames and the photos are a lot easier to take at different angles without it.

Also, have you thought about posting the same item more than once? I also make linocuts and have some prints listed as ready to ship while others are listed as custom. Customers can pick the color with custom prints and I have the delivery time adjusted for printing/drying. This means that I can list items more regularly without actually increasing my inventory. Just a thought!
