May need some help

So far I'm seeing that I have pretty bad SEO and I'm not having very many sales. Was not sure what I need to improve on.

Since you say your shop has great items to give for gift giving, maybe you can show in your listings pictures how the soap is wrapped/shipped.

Re: May need some help

I really like your shop, your soaps are delectable, but the issue may lie with the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. "That safety has not been tested" is very scary.

"DISCLAIMER: The safety of this product has not been determined. None of my bath and beauty products are intended to cure, treat or prevent any disease or skin condition. Please consult your physician before using products that contain fragrance oil, essential oil, sugar or salt."

You might consider changing the wording. Something along the lines of "while I use standard soap making products and top quality essential oils, allergic reactions can occur in rare cases, and essential oils are not for everyone (for example, they should not be used during pregnancy.) Consult your physician if you are unsure before using any product that contains fragrance oils, essential oils, sugar or salt. Also, please note that none of my bath and beauty products are intended to cure, treat or prevent any disease or skin condition. They are a small decorative and fragrant luxury, and any other benefits from the essential oils are just a bonus."

I would also omit the word disclaimer, and add information about your shipping policies.

"Soaps that are ready made will ship in x many day, via x postal service. Please allow x amount of time for custom orders, depending on workload and scope of work"

One last thing, and I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your pokeballs violate etsy rules about trademarked merchandise. It is illegal for you to sell copyrighted merchandise unless you have a license from Nintendo. Etsy has been cracking down on this pretty hard, and it can get your shop shut down. Not to mention other legal repercussions. Disney recently had a shop shut down and had all of the owner's assets frozen as they worked at recouping what is theirs.

Keep up the beautiful work on the soaps, and if you really want to keep the pokeballs, I would give them a different name and remove the Nintendo name from the listing (it makes it really easy for them to find you)

Goof lick :)

Re: May need some help

I love making pokemon and all video game creations... On top of that I see hundreds of shops dedicated to these things. Where is the line drawn between stealing and fan art? I greatly appreciate your help both of you I have already been applying ya'lls advice to my shop. But wouldn't creating a 3D object of a corporates charter still be considered fan art? Wouldn't they see it as more of an opportunity to boost sales for the games and use others more as a marketing tool especially if they are referenced to?

No, sadly, it doesn't work that way. If you want to use the name Pokemon, it belongs to Nintendo and you need a license from them to sell them.

You can def make fan art... Just not allowed to sell it. (You're not even allowed to sell products you made with disney themed fabrics, per example.). The fact that other shops have not gotten caught yet has no bearing. You can report stores if you see violations, but the fact is, if you get caught, your shop will be shut down and you could face serious legal repercussions. It's just not worth the risk. Call them hacki sacks, but I stongly recommend you stop using a licensed name.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Concentrate on your soaps, you have a lovely product.
