Re: Critique

Hi Denise, I'm new to Etsy but I don't think your prices are high at all...I would even say you could charge a little more. Your pieces are so adorable if I had a child with a doll house i would definitely buy. I been a photographer for 20 years and I can help by just saying to keep the photography very simple. Maybe in your very first thumbnail have a shot of product by itself on a smooth surface and as close up as you can without cropping into subject, then in your other shots show scale by maybe showing a doll next to piece so it is clear right away that they are doll house toys and its cute too. Also for simple lighting you can bring the items outside in the shade near an area that has white or neutral colored walls and try that for lighting. hope this helps. Also i have read on the forums that people get a lot more hits when they have a lot more product like 50 pieces. right now I have about 17 so i got a lot of work to do.

Re: Critique

Hi Denise,
I agree with what Kimberly has to say about the photography!
Your miniatures are very cute and your shop is fun to browse!
As for potential improvement, I noticed that, in your listing titles, the first two words are almost always "Dollhouse miniature"... I think you could improve your titles by moving those words to the end, or eliminating them (those are definitely relevant words, but you can put them in the "tags" section of the listing if you can't find a way to work them into the title). Right now, browsing your shop, I mostly see the words "dollhouse miniature" repeated a lot - I think it would draw me in more if I saw more specific titles, like "Pizza Pie with Pepperoni, Cheese, Spinach & Mushrooms - Super Realistic 1/16 Scale Dollhouse Miniature". That kind of title is a lot more evocative and exciting (in my opinion), but still has all the relevant info!
: )
Good luck!
