Charms or no charms? What do you think?

Hey everyone,

I make dream catchers and some I add different kinds of charms - butterflies, skeleton keys, etc. Do you like the charms or think they would sell better without them?

I just ordered fall charms (leaves, pumpkins, etc) that I'm excited for but I wonder if people prefer them plain.

maybe you can offer charms as an option? like make them plain and have an add-on with a selection of charms?
theres an example in thebluebirdstudio - you can get custom initials and handholds for a few dollars extra or you can get them plain.
that way you don't have to commit or make your shop too customized and limit your potential customers base. you can make designs that would integrate with several different charm options and customers could pick one if they wanted?

I agree with the previous post. Options are always nice and then they're not too specific. I like charms that are silver and understated on my object.

Thanks for the feedback! Got the wheels turning. I just hate that Etsy only allows you 2 variations. I'll have to do a couple listings... I put one for customizing the outside ring color and the web color. I'll have to do another listing for people that want to customize with a charm... but I won't have a third variation option for the charm.

Any ideas on how to present the third variation? Should I have them contact me?

Or keep the web one basic color like white or beige and then have a variation for the outside and a charm variation?
