Re: Advice

Hi Debra

1.Looks are everything – Take 5 Photos of each item. Create High-Quality Photography
2.Start Social networking on the Internet : Use Facebook , Twitter , Google+ ,but Don’t Spamming people.
no more than 2-3 posts per day.
3.Offer coupons - Etsy has Coupon Codes available to sellers , try to use them.
4.Marketing and Advertising - Mail hand card to your contact list and leave them on tables or billboards
5.Create a How to Video - Publishing a how to video on creating your Etsy product.
6.Start a blog and from there you can drive people to your Etsy listings. You can also Comment on other
Blogs.
7.My website can help you : sites.google.com/site/etsysecret/.
8.Have a range of prices to offer to a range of buyers.
9.Post feedback about your products on your store.

Dana

Re: Advice

I'm new to etsy as well. After I started a fb page, that seemed to at least get people to look at my shop. I haven't had any sales yet off of etsy, but I have had some off of fb. It's a very competitive site, so I'm guessing perserverance is key as well as great pictures.

Re: Advice

Hi, thanks for all the advice. Yes I am working on getting a better camera and experimenting with different ways of displaying my stuff. I haven't sold anything yet but it will probably take a little more time. If you are in the same situation just hang in there.

Re: Advice

Hi Dana,

Could you clarify by feedbacks? We have to give them or wait until the buyers evaluate our services? And, what if they don't really submit any reviews?

Thanks a bunch,

Candy

Re: Advice

@ jeanne cateron...the 2-3 posts per day comment was pointing towards facebook and sites like that. On etsy it is best to build your shop up quick in my opinion. I haven't sold anything yet on here, but have received a lot of advice:)
