Promoting abstract art

Hi there!

I've recently opened my Etsy shop and I was wondering if anybody had any tips or tricks to promoting abstract art. My shop will eventually consist of more abstract paintings and photography, (I've created pieces but I'm yet to list them) and through my experiences, not only on etsy, it's fairly hard to promote this kind of art as it's a fairly specific, for use of a better word, genre. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
