difference btw reg fine art paper and metallic paper?

Im making jewelry with glass resin over my art prints and see a few artists using metallic paper when making pendants or rings with their prints. What's the difference btw regular fine art print paper and metallic will it illuminate the image well better when there is glass over it. Do you use metallic paper? Let me know. Thank you.

The difference between a regular photo print and the metallic print is a pearlescent finish. Metallic prints tend to make colors really pop and look more vibrant. They also make a photo look a little more 3 dimensional - some aspects of the photo tend to pop more. I would think that a metallic print behind glass in a piece of jewelry would really enhance the image much more than a regular photo print.
