best way of wrapping a canvas painting?

I would love to know how other painters package their canvas painting ready for shipping....I would put bubblewrap inside the space at the back of the canvas then maybe wrap the painting with more bubblewrap or thin layer of synthetic material..then bubblewrap...do you use corner protectors? to give rigidity i may place a thin sheet of polystyrene (is this necessary) then wrap in recycled cardboard and then brown paper....by the time i have finished it weighs twice the weight...

would appreciate any advise and tips...thanks

Re: best way of wrapping a canvas painting?

With any of the art I've purchased the canvas has always had corner protectors on it and a cardboard frame.

Then the entire piece has been put into a sturdy cardboard package and shipped that way.

Personally I wouldn't use bubble pack directly on the canvas as it may have a tendency to stick to the canvas, especially in extreme heat
