What is this and where can I buy one?

For those of you who are illustrators -

I am learning scientific illustration and my mentor has this awesome little gadget for holding a pen vertically while you draw.

But she cannot find it for sale anywhere, and doesn't know if it has a technical name that is preventing an effective search.

Do any of you have a clue what it is called and/or where one could be purchased?

I already love using it, but don't want to get hooked if I can't get one of my own.
