What is the best way to carve a piece of Solderite to get it the shape you want? I've been making ponytail holders out of metal clay and because they have a curve I usually fire them upside-down and brace them best I can, but they never come out with the EXACT shape that I'm looking for. So I decided to use gravity to my advantage and sort of "hang" the ponytail holders on a half round piece of Solderite. But wouldn't ya know it, they don't make Solderite in cylinder form, (at least I've never seen it this way) so I have to shape it by hand, which it not very fun the way I'm doing it: cutting it to as close a cylider as I can and then scraping it with a knife. I'm hoping there is a MUCH easier way, is there?
