Soldering Jump Rings with Soldering Iron?

Is there a good soldering iron out there for soldering jump rings? I know using a butane torch is the best thing to use, but my neighbor does not want to use one, she is too scared. She only wants to solder jump rings. I told her I would try to find out if there is good soldering iron she could use.

soldering iron uses a different type of solder t(the type used in copper foil, stain glass technique) than soldering a silver jump ring

riogrande makes a hot spot jump ring soldering machine, you use solder filled sterling silver wire. i have one being delivered this week, a learning curve to it they say. there was a used one for sale on ebay
i intend to solder a bunch of jump rings

Oh, that makes sense Jeanne. Now I feel dumb..lol. I didn't think twice about it when she mentioned using a soldering iron.

I use a butane torch, still getting the hang of it. Mine is just a small kitchen one, like you use for creme brulee. She thinks she will burn her house down. Not sure if they make them smaller than the one I have.

creme brulee torches hard to solder jump rings i think since the flame is so big.
a big girl torch like a smith little torch has a small tip to make a pinpoint flame.
yeah it is confusing having both those types of processes called solder ing. gets peopel confused all the time.
once you advance to larger pcs of metal the butane has a harder time solder, then you can jump up to a mapp or propane plumbers torch from home depot type store.
my hubby is a non-tool type of guy he ws showing off the creme brulee torch he got for some work on our boat to me when i clicked on my plumber's torch he says "wow that thing could burn down the house" lol, any flame big or small can do that dear.
