Sanding down Diamond Glaze? Help!

I left a few things drying with diamond glaze near another of my work areas and a few of them ended up with tiny wood chips stuck to the front. I was wondering if, when it dries, I could sand down the top to get the wood chips off and then apply another layer of glaze. I know I could just do it and see what happens, but has anyone else had experience with sanding down glaze and applying another layer? I'd like to save these pieces if at all possible.

I've done the same with resin and it worked fine.
I used wet sandpaper to keep the dust down.
The second layer looked just fine.

Re: Sanding down Diamond Glaze? Help!

Are you trying to save the findings the pieces were made with or are you concerned about not ruining the artwork underneath the glaze? If you are just trying to save the bezel or other findings then you can soak the whole thing in a cup of very hot tap water and the Diamond Glaze will soften up and can then just be scraped off. HTH!
