Are prong setting pliers worth getting? I set a lot of rhinestones in brass settings and they can be finicky, especially the navettes which roll around until they are tacked in place. Also, the stones and setting aren't always the same size even though they are supposed to be. I was wondering if setting pliers would make it easier.
I struggled along with cheap flush cutters until I finally spent the money on some Lindstroms, and I couldn't believe the difference, but sometimes it's hard to know if a new tool is a good idea or just a gimmick.
Any advice on which work best and what to avoid would be really helpful.
Thanks,
Janet
