Problems While Baking Glass Paints....grrrrrr

Wondering if anyone has ever had problems with the colors bleeding while using glass paints. I have been working some sunset scenes with white clouds in front and I have problems with the oranges and reds yellowing the white clouds when I bake. I have tried different paint and thinner layers of red, but without success. No problems at all using the same techniques and purple or blue underneath. Anyone know why this is happening?

Could the white paint turn yellow after it is baked? I mean even if it has no other color underneath of it? If there is blue or purple underneath the white, maybe it cancels out the yellow.

Could you put a layer of clear as a barrier between the reds and the whites? Baking a clear layer before adding a layer of white.

For some reason I have never thought of adding a clear protective layer between. I am going to do some experimenting with that. I have painted just white with nothing underneath and haven't had any problems. Thanks for the idea!

I've also read that you can bake glasses with reds and oranges at 325 and that will help. I'm going to try both and I'll let you know!

Hmmmm....I tried layering a clear medium between the paint with little success. Baking at 325 helped somewhat, but there was still some bleeding. I may have to do the 21 day cure for anything layered with those colors unless I can come up with something else.....
