Paper Mache ANY recommendations on best product to use for mix?

I like to research before trying new brands of anything really.
Was wondering if anyone can recommend a good brand of paper mache mix OR a good recipe? Thanks in advance and happy creating!

I've never tried the store bought mix. When I work with paper sculptures I used strips of newspaper and make my own mix of flour and water cooked together, or as second choice it would be watered down white glue.

I've been wanting to try the store bought paper mache mix though

No need to purchase a ready made paper mache product. Cornstarch and water works very well, especially if you want to fabric cover your walls in a rented apartment. Lay the fabric in a tub of cornstarch and water mixture, like a slurry. Then wipe excess from the fabric and smooth out onto your wall. When you need to move, pull fabric away from the wall and take it with.

Handmade paper, like this display unit, was adhered to the surface with Elmer's Glue diluted with warm water. A small amount of water base paint can be added to the mixture if you want a vintage faded appearance.

Love to paper mache.

I think it depends on what you are using it for. I've worked with celluclay for my folk art figures. The texture is kind of rough but that's the effect I'm going for. I use paper clay if I want to create smoother figures.

I have always been happy with a white glue/water mix.

It is also fun to soak newspapers and paper egg cartons in water, blend in an old blender, squeeze out excess water, mix with a bit o glue and then squeeze into shapes of things.
