Is there a way to reverse oxidization?

I oxidized some earrings but some parts just won't oxidized! And now the earrings look awful! Is there a way to reverse the oxidization process? I left the earrings in the sulfur of liver for like 30 min btw. It's driving me crazy!

If it was sterling, silver polish should work, shouldn't it?

Just curious- what part didn't oxidize? I've never tried oxidizing but I plan on giving it a try soon.

I don't do this but I've read that the piece must be perfectly clean first. If there was anything on the metal, you'd get an uneven result.

If there isn't a stone involved you can use a liquid tarnish remover like Tarn X. Sometimes the solder, especially in imported jewelry, won't oxidize because it doesn't contain enough silver.

They are gypsy type of earrings, they have several disc coins and some of the disc coins didn't oxidize. Maybe because they're very thin disc coins?

Re: Is there a way to reverse oxidization?

The coins are probably made of a base metal with no silver or copper content. How thin or thick the discs are doesn't make a difference . Some types metal won't oxidize.
