How do I get rid of the bubbles under glass circles?

I'm trying to glue a paper cutting on top of another piece of paper then glue that to a 1 inch glass round but cannot do it without getting bubbles. I've used three different glues, used tons of glue and tried to squeeze as much air out btw the glass and the paper as possible but still ----no success.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sometimes you can use a blow drier to heat the surface and they will dissipate. Or use a tooth pick and drag each bubble off to the side and down.

Have you sealed the paper?
I actually don't have much experience with this, but paper is porous and can hold air, so if you put glue on top of it the air might form bubbles.

If you haven't already, I would try sealing the paper with mod-podge or something similar, use thin coats, let dry, and repeat. Then use a glue to attach the glass circle.

I have heard people mention that they use clear packing tape over their paper/images before glueing to a piece of glass or applying resin, you could try that as well.

Re: How do I get rid of the bubbles under glass circles?

I had same problem until I switched to Aleene's Clear Tacky Glue.

BTW, does anybody know what kind of beads are in my avatar?
They are glass square rectangles with little leaf? designs indented.
Or, what type are they?

thanks,
brat

I know it sounds counter-intuitive but don't try to smoosh out all the air bubbles. Use enough glue to kind of float the glass over the image. If you are using the right glue (I use Mod Podge) it will dry clear. I read this tip somewhere and low and behold, it works!

yep, you have to lacker the paper in clear, than add enough glue to glue the item swimming on and move t he paper back and forth to move eventual bubbles out. that is the best way
this is also the only way how you can glue glass on glass with the right glass glue
