Hi all, I'm making cards to sell locally and my question is...I want to run cotton quilting fabric through my inkjet and I want the fabric to be stiff enough to go through smoothly. What can I place on the back of the fabric to slightly stiffen it so it goes through the printer smoothly, but can easily be removed once I've completed my printing? Any ideas? Products to recommend?
There are two ways I've tried which I know work. You can iron it onto some freezer paper cut to the same size as the fabric then just peel the paper off afterwards or run a glue stick round the edges of a sheet of typing paper and then press your fabric onto it. It will stick at the edges which will allow it to go through the printer but you may find you need to cut off the glued bits afterwards so make sure you allow for that in your design placement.
They also sell cotton fabric for inkjet printers that is already on the paper. You can find some at places like Joanns or at most quilting stores. One brand I've used is Jacquard 8.5x11 cotton sheets for use with inkjet.

Thanks, guys, very, very, helpful! I appreciate your willingness to help. I love the freezer paper idea as I have seen it work with friends. I've sen teh cotton fabric work as well, but it won't give me the look I need. Many thanks.
