Brainstorming a gift for my boyfriend....could use some help :)

His birthday is coming up. I know he likes these items:

but I don't know in what way he'd use them....he's not a super-jewelry kind of guy. If anything, he wears a ring and sometimes a bracelet. Keychain? Rearview mirror dangly? I mean, they're cool, but I can't figure out the application for a guy. Any ideas?

I just learned about Soldier to Soldier bracelets with 25% going to wounded vets. There is a website called Soldier to Soldier and I just found one version I love. They have many sizes and several colors. They are made from parachute cord and some have silver, gold, and diamond. They seem to sell from $95 to $145. And helping the vets appeals!

Hmmm...that's cool, but not what I'm looking for. I want to somehow make one of the coins into something.

Wow, those are really cool.. looking at bongobeads shop right now....
Does your guy play golf? He says he can turn it into a keychain or golf marker for no extra cost.

How about having one embedded in an acrylic chunk to make a paper weight. He'd always have it on his desk.

Maybe you could glue it to something else (a wooden box, a desk clock, a pencil holder...)

You could bond them to a wooden frame and put a picture of you or the two of you together, in the frame.

Hmm...good ideas. I had thought of the keychain idea, which might be the winner, but I wanted to hear some other ideas, especially since his keychain is huge. He doesn't have a desk job or anything of that sort....hmmm, any other ideas are appreciated :D

Rearview mirror dangly?
--------
That's what I'd do. String it on a short leather cord to hang from his rearview (short so it won't interfere with his field of vision). That way he can enjoy seeing it daily without wearing or carrying it. Just remind him to lock his vehicle if he's not in that habit -- some people will steal anything.
