Bezel/stone setting punches

During my last trip to the jewellery quarter, I picked up a nice little set of bezel setting punches that had been tempting me for quite some time. I have never used them before and usually stick to traditional methods of stone setting but was wondering whether anyone else has had any experience with them? I'm going to try them out next week, I have some faceted topaz to tube set so I'll see how well they work.

They're the same as these ones at rio grande:

Anyone had any luck with them? I've read mixed reviews. Some people swear by them and some people just hate them!

Re: Bezel/stone setting punches

I have a set, just another tool. Faster than hammer and punch, no remedy for a poorly seated stone.

I have an abundance of calibrated round cabs and faceted stones so I'll have to get to work! Thanks for the replies :)
